Hu Jintao, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said on January 5 that the educating of party officials in the "three key issues" must be carried on by the CPC party committees in the new year. Hu made these remarks at the Third National Conference on "three key issues" for education in Beijing today. The "three key issues" are strengthening theoretical study, political awareness and good conduct. The Conference was chaired by Wei Jianxing, another standing committee member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. It will review the "three key issues" for education in the past year, exchange opinions and experiences and work out plans to extend the "three key issues" education across China. Hu said that work on the "three key issues" for education has been successfully implemented at the central and provincial levels.Hu also said that it is crucial to review the results of the education campaign in 1999 and make all efforts to resolve problems that still exist. |
