The United States women's hockey team beat their Swedish opponents 9-1 in the final preliminary-round game in the Christmas Tournament at Lake Placid on Friday.

Erin Magee scored three goals for the American team.

The American team will face the winner of Saturday's game between Russia and Sweden in the championship game on Sunday.
