Hong Kong will host an international congress on culture and humanity from January 8 to 10 to mark the advent of the new millennium. The congress with the theme of the future of human values will provide a good opportunity for Chinese and foreign intellectual scholars to meet together in Hong Kong to exchange views on culture and humanity, according to an organizer from the Home Affair Bureau (HAB). Co-sponsored by the HAB and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the congress will endeavor to search for new forms of knowledge interface not only among religion, arts and culture, language and literature, but also other world-orbit fields such as ecology, cities, tele-integrated societies, and the globalized network world. During the three-day congress, a cultural night concert will be held, featuring the Chinese, Japanese and African music, the organizer said. |
