In the past year, local major industries have finalized Y2K repairs on equipment, software, and other managing systems. Numerous Y2K groups have been working hard in Shanghai to increase public awareness and prevent possible computer system disruption. Local computer experts have cooperated with their domestic and overseas counterparts in dealing with the Y2K problem.
