The output of flash memory produced by Intel Technology (China) Ltd. reached 2 million units a month this year, doubling that of last year. The company, with an investment of nearly 200 million US dollars, is the first enterprise established in China by major United States computer chip manufacturer Intel. The China company began trial operations in 1998 and mass production began in the first half of this year. The firm is located the Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone in Pudong, Shanghai, and covers an area of 150,000 square meters.
