Leaders of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Guangzhou Military Area Command have come to the Gongbei Control Checkpoint to see off the PLA troops to be stationed in the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR).

Tao Bojun, commander of the PLA Guangzhou Military Area Command, shook hands with Liu Yuejun and He Xianshu, commander and political commissar respectively of the PLA Macao Garrison, and waved to the officers and solders, when they arrived at Gongbei amid tens of thousands of people who were seeing them off.

Liu Shutian, political commissar of the PLA Guangzhou Military Area Command, and You Ningfeng, vice-governor of Guangdong Province, were also in Zhuhai to see off the PLA troops.
