Thirty-six animals and birds in the Tianjin Zoo have found new mates from other zoos around the country.

Beginning in September of this year, zookeepers in Tianjin have traveled to 18 cities including Xi'an, Jinan, Chengdu, Lanzhou, and Guangzhou, to find mates for their animals.

It is said that a leopardess has just held a wedding ceremony with her bridegroom from Chengdu Zoo in southwest China's Sichuan Province.

To date, the 36 animals of 16 species, including Siberian tigers, leopards, African lions, black panthers, and Arabian baboons, have new suitable mates.
