President Rexhep Mejdani of the Republic of Albania arrived in Beijing earlier December 12 morning, starting a state visit at the invitation of President Jiang Zemin.

Greeting President Mejdani at the airport were Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Guchang and Chinese Ambassador to Albania Zuo Furong.
