Painting and Calligraphy Show Features China's Artefacts

A painting and calligraphy show held by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage (SACH) opened on December 10 in the Palace Museum to celebrate 50 years of archaeology and museum development.

Well known Chinese archaeologists and connoisseurs, including Zhang Wenbin, director of SACH, Luo Zhewen, an expert in historical and ancient buildings, and Yu Weichao, curator of the Chinese Museum of History, presented their paintings and calligraphy.

After years of studing ancient paintings and calligraphy, these archaeologists and connoisseurs have become amateur or professional painters and calligraphers in their own right.
