Commemorative Coins Mark Macao's Return

The Everbright Bank of China has issued a set of seven special coins to commemorate China's resumption of exercise of sovereignty on Macao, with approval from the country's central bank.

To date, a total of 190,000 sets of the coins have been sold in the cities of Chengdu, Beijing and Shanghai, according to a source from the Everbright Bank.

The commemorative coins were specially designed and issued in Macao and minted in Canada, and 288,888 sets are available worldwide, including 250,000 sets intended for sale in China.
