Private enterprises in Zhejiang Province in east China reported a year-on-year 518 percent rise in exports from January to October this year, 487 percentage points higher than the national average. Local private enterprises exported 87 million US dollars worth of goods during the ten-month period, accounting for 13.8 percent of the nation's total by private businesses. This huge increase is a result of local efforts to adopt favorable policies for encouraging the private sector to increase its presence in overseas markets. Zhejiang now has a total of 411 private enterprises with the right to engage in export business. (Xinhua) |
