Zhu Rongji Returns to Beijing after Visit to Vietnam

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji returned to Beijing Saturday afternoon for Beijing, winding up his four-day official visit to Vietnam.

During his stay in Hainoi, the two countries solved all the existing land boundary issues between them and agreed to try their best to sign a formal treaty later this month.

At Zhu's meetings with Vietnamese leaders, both sides stressed the need to enhance the Sino-Vietnamese cooperation, particularly in the economic and trade areas.

Earlier Saturday, the Chinese premier visited the former Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum here.

Vietnam is the last leg of Zhu's two-week tour of Southeast Asia, which also took him to Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore.
