At the invitation of Chinese President Jiang Zemin, Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid arrived in Beijing on the afternoon of December 1 for a three-day state visit.

Wahid's entourage includes his wife Nuriyah Rahman and Foreign Minister Alwi Shihab.

This is Wahid's first state visit to China since he became Indonesian president last October.
