Qi Hui from China won two more golds Sunday in the third round of World Cup short course swimming championships, while Brazil ended top of the medal table. The 14-year-old Qi Hui took the 50m and 200m breaststrokes, beating Australia's Katie Clewett into second place both times. She won the 100 meters breaststroke gold on Saturday. Russian-born Spaniard Nina Zhivanevskaya, who won two golds on Saturday, added a third in the women's 100 meters backstroke, followed by Brazil's Fabiola Molina. Brazil, with the largest team in this leg of the championships, won five golds on Sunday for a 10-gold haul from two-day competition. Gustavo Borges led a Brazilian clean sweep of the men's 200 meters freestyle medals on Sunday as the third round of the 12-leg championships drew to a close. |
