The People's Liberation Army (PLA) Garrison in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) started a new normal troop rotation early November 26 morning. The rotation is being carried out in accordance with the Garrison Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region which stipulates a personnel rotation system for garrison troops. This is the second normal troop rotation of the PLA Hong Kong Garrison since it assumed Hong Kong's defense responsibility on July 1, 1997. It features a routine troop rotation in units of the PLA army, navy and air force. The rotation started from the early morning Friday and is scheduled to end at noon. |
