The first private journalism and communication school in China has been founded in Chang chun, the capital of northeast China's Jilin province. The school was started by Shao Shouyi, a professor with the Jilin Normal Institution, with the aim of producing news anchors, sub-editors and reporters for radio stations. A total of 82 students have been admitted to the institution of higher learning so far. The school is expected to invite renowned TV hosts such as Zhao Zhongxiang and Bai Yansong, and editors from media organizations to be guest lecturers, according to the school president Shao Shouyi. Jilin is a province known for its advanced level of higher education in the nation, and is home to renowned institutions such as Jilin University and Jilin Engineering University. |
