Largest Natural Stone Arch Bridge in North China

A 50-meter long natural stone arch bridge, which probably naturally came into being some one million years ago, has been found in Huguan County in north China' s Shanxi Province.

The four-meter wide and eight-meter thick limestone bridge spans a 100-meter valley deep in the Taihang Mountains, and is believed to be the largest of its kind in north China, said Chinese archaeologists.

The valley has been developed into a natural park with scenic landscapes and various rare plants as well as religious temples and historical sites.
