Tyson Ordered to Remain in Solitary for 20 Days
Mike Tyson was ordered Wednesday to remain in solitary confinement for 20 more days and lost phone and visiting privileges after hurling a television set in the Montgomery County jail last week.
Facing accusations of disorderly conduct, destroying property and assaulting a correctional officer, Tyson was not allowed to take part in group activities or live among the regular jail population until mid-March.
Tyson has been locked in an isolated small cell since last Friday, and he will be in the environment for 23 hours a day in the coming 20 days.
Tyson was sentenced on February 5 after pleading no contest to charges he assaulted two men following a minor traffic accident last August but has until March 7 to appeal the sentence.
