French Navy Vessel Visits China
¡¡¡¡Prairial, an escort vessel of the French Navy, arrived on February 25 in Qingdao, a port city in east China's Shandong Province, for a five-day friendly visit.
¡¡¡¡The vessel, with 93 crew members, is led by Rear Admiral Jean Moulin, navy commander of the French Atlantic Military Region. Zhang Dingfa, commander of the North Sea Fleet of the Chinese Liberation Army Navy, hosted a welcoming ceremony for the visitors. Among those greeting the vessel were French ambassador to China Pierre Morel and officials from the Qingdao city government.
