Prominent Chinese Writer Xiao Qian Cremated ˇˇˇˇXiao Qian, a famous Chinese writer and translator, who died on February 11 in Beijing at the age of 90 was cremated in Beijing on February 24. Xiao was president of the Research Institute of Culture and History of the CPC Central Committee. ˇˇˇˇZhu Rongji, Li Ruihuan, Luo Gan, Ye Xuanping, Ba Jin and Qian Weichang mourned over Xiao's death and extend their condolences to his family members.
