G7 Finance Ministers Meeting Approving Stability Forum
Finance Ministers of the Seven Industrial Nations call on Europe to boost domestic-led growth.
After their one-day meeting in Bonn, Germany on Saturday, the ministers approved a plan to launch a Financial Stability Forum to help avert future global crises. Based in Basle, Switzerland, the Forum will have some 35 members representing major international financial organizations as well as finance ministries and central banks of the G7 states. They will meet twice a year to coordinate financial activities and warn against dangers to global economy.
The meeting also discussed ways to relieve debt burdens of the poorest developing nations.
