Osaka Used Big Money Bidding for Olympic Games
Asahi reports that in the past five years Osaka has already spent 2.25 billion of Japanese Yen on bidding for the 2008 Olympic Games.
Sources say that Osaka started bidding activities as early as in 1994. It has spent 554 million Yen on making of host plans and 1.697 billion Yen on promotion (including 0.895 billion of subsidies to Coordinate Committee for Advancing Osaka Olympic Games).
