Iraqi Civilian Killed in US Missile Attack
One Iraqi civilian was killed and another injured on Friday during US missile attacks on civilian targets in northern Iraq, an Iraqi military spokesman announced.
The spokesman was quoted by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) as saying that nine formations of US warplanes from a Turkish military base violated Iraq's northern airspace Friday morning and launched missiles at the Iraqi air defense sites in Dohuk Province and north Mosul.
Since late last month when US-British warplanes bombarded residential quarters in southern Iraq's Basra Province till now, 28 civilians have been killed and over 100 others injured during US-British missile and bomb attacks in several incidents.
On Thursday, two Iraqi civilians were killed and several others injured when US warplanes attacked civilian targets in northern Iraq's Neineva Province, INA reported.
Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz said that Iraq would go on confronting US-British warplanes violating Iraqi airspace regardless of the sacrifices and consequences.
