Reforms by Enterprises Noted in Tianjin

  "Be sure democratic management be introduced in an all-round way when all factory affairs relating to the interest of workers are run open and aboveboard". It is a goal at which Tianjin has targeted by reforms introduced in its state-owned and collective-run enterprises and its cooperative industrial undertakings and township enterprises in recent two years.

  Sources say that Tianjin municipality has already had democratic management introduced in 87% of its state-owned enterprises and 1,500 urban collective-run enterprises, cooperative industrial undertakings and township enterprises and that mass assessments by workers have been made in an all-round, lively democratic way. This, as it has been told, has led to a strengthening of leadership and a general growth of income and profits by those enterprises and industrial undertakings along with an income growth by their workers in Tianjin.
