Work Plans of National Cultural & Historical Relics Departments 　　The National Cultural & Historical Relics Administration Leading Personnel Meeting was called on February 8 in Beijing. Work plans for 1999 were worked out and have their emphasis on a strengthening of macro management, working out more laws and regulations on cultural and historical relics preservation and upgrading of basic facilities. 　　In 1999, deep reforms will be carried out by cultural and historical relics departments in China so as to develop a new mechanism in cultural and historical relics preservation, management of museums and circulation of cultural and historical relics when cultural and historical relics tourism is nationally developed under the conditions of a market-oriented socialist economy.
