China Protects Interests of Foreign Investors
Safeguarding foreign investors' interests is an essential part of China's security supervisory and administrative work, Zhou Zhengqing (first from left), chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission, told reporters in London Wednesday.
He also noted China will further take measures to solve the existing problems relating to some foreign list companies in the country:
First, the business management of list companies should be separated from that of share holding institutions strictly;
Second, strengthening business regulation and increasing transparency;
Third, strengthening the responsibility of the trustees;
Fourth, improving the quality of senior managers of the companies;
Fifth, separating functions of the government from the list companies and decreasing governmental interference.
China will select more big enterprises to be listed in overseas markets, Zou said.
