International Academic Forum to Mark Lao She's 100th Birthday Anniversary Opened ¡¡¡¡Lao She, modestly calling himself "a small pen in the arts circles" before his death, now obtained the heartfelt memory from Chinese cultural circle and evoked worldwide repercussion. Over 110 specialists and scholars from home and abroad gathered in Beijing on Wednesday and held an academic forum entitled "the 20th Century and Lao She" to co-commemorate this great master in modern Chinese literature history. This four-day meeting is the seventh academic forum on Lao She's works. 70 domestic participants are from 18 provinces and some other 40 foreign specialists are from over 10 countries, including Japan, the ROK, USA and France.
