New Regulations for Exhibitions and Trade Fairs
The Internal Trade Administration issued earlier a notice reinforcing control on commodity and technological exhibitions and trade fairs
The notice says that the system of planning, application, examination and approval at relevant levels and control under authorities concerned will be continued for assorted commodity and technological exhibitions and trade fairs. The Trade Planning and Legal Administration under the Internal Trade Administration and the provincial departments in charge of commodity circulation are responsible for the examination, approval and control concerning the exhibitions and trade fairs according to their scale and localities. The notice demands that application for holding such exhibitions and trade fairs and plans for their implementation shall be filed 6 months in advance with the Internal Trade Administration or the provincial departments in charge of commodity circulation. Such applications for the next year and plans for their implementation can also be filed by the end of November of the given year.
The notice emphasizes that the exhibitions and trade fairs with the titles headed by "China' or "national" (all China) must be examined and approved by the Internal Trade Administration and the provincial, municipal and regional ones must be examined and approved by the provincial departments in charge of commodity circulation.
