Ugandan President Holds Talks With Chinese Official
����Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni held talks with visiting Vice-Chairman of China's NPC Standing Committee Xu Jialu in Kampala Tuesday.
����Museveni praised China for selecting, no matter under what sort of pressure from outside, a way of development by its own and said that Uganda is doing the same.
����During the one-hour talks, they introduced to each other the political systems in their respective countries.
����Museveni was very interested in the formation and function of China's NPC and the specific roles in national affairs of the different parties in the Congress.
����Xu also elaborated on China's policies on education, a topic of special interest to the Ugandan president.
����The Chinese official highly praised the wide-ranging and smooth cooperation between the two countries in political, economic and cultural fields since they established diplomatic relations in 1962.
