Tsutomu Hata Lashes Out Against Japan's Defense Policy
Tsutomu Hata, secretary-general of the Democratic Party of Japan(DPJ), on January 23 criticized the defense policy of the current cabinet, because " it embodies dangerous factors".
This defense policy might result in the arm race among the Asian countries, Hata said in a DPJ meeting.
*Some right-wing members created disturbances in Osaka to prevent a Chinese film named "Nanjing in 1937" from being shown, which represents the Nanjing Massacre carried out by Japanese aggressor troops in 1937 . Two right-wing men were arrested and the film was shown on time.
