Chinese Vice-President Hu Jintao Meets Senior Madagascar Officials

On the same day, Hu also held talks with Madagascar's Prime Minister Tantely Andrianarivo.
In their talks, Hu said that China is satisfied with the smooth growth of Sino-Madagascar ties based on the Five Principles of Peaceful Co-existence.
In the past 26 years since the two nations established diplomatic ties, high-level visit exchanges have increased while economic and trade cooperation has been fruitful, Hu noted.
Andrianarivo expressed the belief that his country's poverty can be resolved through economic development, which he hopes will have China's support and cooperation.
