Countries Involved in Congo (K) Conflict Agree to Cease Fire
Five African countries involved in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) war have agreed to a cease-fire Monday and moved to seek the assistance of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) and the UN in establishing a peace keeping force.
But the Congo rebelling troops said cease-fire cannot solve the domestic problem in Congo and reiterated their demand to negotiate directly with President Laurent Kabila.
