Kosovo Crisis

����*The United States ambassador to the NATO said Tuesday that bombing of Yugoslav forces in Kosovo could begin immediately unless Belgrade ended its offensive in the province.

����*Russia Monday urged Yugoslavia to reverse its decision to declare the head of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) mission in Kosovo persona non-grata.

����Russia has decided to send a special envoy, First Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Avdeyev, to Yugoslavia as soon as possible, Interfax said.

����*The Yugoslav government declared William Walker, head of the Kosovo verification mission of unarmed monitors, persona non-grata and demanded he leave within 48 hours.

����Yugoslavia also refused to allow chief UN war crimes prosecutor Louise Arbour to enter its border from Macedonia Monday, the Tanjug reported.

����*The UN Security Council on Monday "strongly condemned" the massacre of Albanians in southern Kosovo, a Serb province of dominant population of ethnic Albanians.
