Yeltsin Hospitalized for Bleeding Ulcer
Russian President Boris Yeltsin was taken to hospital on Sunday with what doctors believed to be severe bleeding stomach ulcer, Tass reported.
A Kremlin spokesman said the ulcer was bleeding but Mr Yeltsin's condition was stable.
The spokesman said doctors at the Central Clinic Hospital performed a scan to confirm the diagnosis, but added that the president was out of danger and would not need an operation.
