Nuclear Fusion in Southwestern China
Work on installation of the Tokamak HL-2A, a device for nuclear fusion control, began on January 16 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, as China's nuclear fusion research enters a new stage.
The Tokamak HL-2A is a major overseas cooperation project involving equipment imported from Germany to be installed at the Chengdu-based Southwestern Physics Institute.
The first phase of the project will be completed in two years.
