Top Choice of Home Tourism: Beijing ˇˇˇˇInvestigation by Beijing Tourism Administration and statistics from Beijing statistic departments show that Beijing has become the first choice of domestic tourists in China. In 1998, it is reported that there were altogether a total of 57.80 million domestic visitors who had come on a tour of Beijing, thereby giving Beijing an annual income of RMB$39.324 billion yuan from tourism, to show a growth of 5.1% and 8.2% over 1997 respectively.
