Chinese President Meets German Businessman 　　Chinese President Jiang Zemin met with Dr. Heinrich Von Pierer, chairman and CEO of the Siemens AG of Germany. 　　The meeting took place in Beijing January 12. 　　The German businessman comes to Beijing at the invitation of China's State Development Planning Commission. 　　Up till now, Siemens has set up 35 joint ventures with China, and 13 of them are involved in the information and telecommunication industry. 　　The German company has become one of the foreign firms that have established the largest number of joint ventures in extensive fields in China. 　　 HomeNews 1999-01-13 Page1
