Anti-Corruption Hotline Changed
In a bid to make China's anti-corruption hotline easier of access for the public to report such crimes, prosecutors offices across China changed the number in tandem into numbers ending with the same four digits "2000."
This, it is believed, will make the numbers easier to remember, said Zhang Qiong, deputy procurator-general of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP).
Now the hotline numbers for the SPP are changed to (86-10) 65252000 and 65592000. Anti-corruption hotline numbers will be published by local prosecutors' offices throughout China.
Zhang said that it is part of the efforts made by the SPP in establishing closer ties with the public and to rely on them in furthering the anti-corruption drive.
