US Mars Polar Lander Launched From Florida 　　US NASA launched its second Mars probe--the Mars Polar Lander Sunday within one month for the purpose of looking for water on the red planet. 　　The spacecraft aboard a Delta II rocket blasted off from Cape Canaveral, Florida at 3:21 pm local time. After a 470 million miles flight, the Polar Lander will touch down on the surface of Mars on December 3 this year. 　　The goal is to find water ice in the Martian soil.
