BRUSSELS, May 14 -- The eurozone's seasonally adjusted industrial production fell by 0.3 percent in March compared with February, Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union (EU), said on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the seasonally adjusted industrial production declined by 0.2 percent on a monthly basis in the 28-member EU.
The decreasing industrial production in the eurozone in March was due to falling production of intermediate goods and non-durable consumer goods, which dropped by 0.8 percent and by 0.5 percent respectively.
On an annual basis, industrial production dropped by 0.1 percent in the eurozone and increased by 0.5 percent in the EU compared with March 2013.
