The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) planned to step up its fight against transnational organized crime, the Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan's press service said Friday.
The commitment came at the 11th SCO Attorneys General meeting here Thursday, attended by the attorneys general of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and deputy prosecutors general of Uzbekistan, Russia and China.
Participants discussed international legal assistance to combat transnational organized crime, including drug and human trafficking, such as prioritizing these crimes and actively exchanging information on suspects.
They also decided to improve the efficiency of cooperation on the return of proceeds from cross-border economic crime to the country of origin.
