2013 Summer Davos opens, innovation in focus

The Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2013, also known as Summer Davos, opened Wednesday in northeast China's port city of Dalian.

This year's forum, themed "Meeting the Innovation Imperative," will feature interactive discussions on issues ranging from sustainable growth, energy security to trade and investment.

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang will deliver a keynote speech at the opening ceremony. More than 1,500 delegates from 90 countries and regions will participate in the three-day forum.
