3,746 enterprises in the High-tech Zone to replace the business tax with VAT from August 1

At 0:13 on August 1, the lights in the Administrative Service Hall of the City Gate of the High-tech Zone were brightly lit, along with the buzz of special tax invoices machine. The staff from Xi'an Bobst, a network information technology company, obtained the company's first VAT invoice since the campaign of replacing the business tax with a value-added tax started, marking the official launch of the campaign in the High-tech Zone. At this moment, employees and leaders of the Administration of Taxation remaining on their working posts smiled upon seeing their fruits of diligent work.

The State Council decided that the replacement of business tax with value-added tax campaign should be popularized across the country since August 1. To get fully prepared, the staff members have been working around the clock for nearly three months. The reporter saw the schedule of this campaign from the implementation scheme of the Administration of Taxation in the Xi'an High-tech Zone:

By July 23, the tax administration section and collection and management section should have confirmed the list of pilot enterprises for the campaign and determined the staff responsible for the tax collection.

By July 24, the tax administration section and technical service units should have jointly determined the list of staff members who are expected to offer "one-to-one" service for the pilot enterprises.

By July 26, the tax administration section, information center, invoice center, tax responsible persons of pilot enterprises and technical service units should jointly have conducted inspections over the purchase, distribution, installation of the corporate tax control equipments in enterprises involved in the campaign, checked whether the receipt and purchase of the invoice have been completed and verified that the pilot enterprises are proficient with billing method.

At 9:00 pm on July 31, tax responsible persons and technical service personnel expected to offer "one-to-one" service shall do the final commissioning checks on the corporate tax control equipments and assist the pilot enterprises to successfully obtain the invoice on August 1.
