A bus driver stopped his bus on a cliff after he suffered a fatal hemorrhage, saving 31 passengers.

Yang Jinghong, a bus driver in Huashan Mountain scenic area in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, felt sudden discomfort when driving on the mountain road, 4:50 p.m., March 9, 2014. He managed to bring the bus to a stop on a cliff tens of meters high and let all the passengers get off before he informed the company about the situation. After that, he fell to the ground and did not wake up. The 31 passengers on the bus were saved.

Yang was sent to a hospital by a pass-by Pickup truck. Doctors said Yang suffered from a sudden brain hemorrhage. Although the hospital had taken a series of emergency measures, Yang died early next morning.

There is only one road up to Huangshan Mountain since the ancient times. To guarantee passengers' safety, all the buses carrying passengers up and down the mountain are operated by Huashan Tourism Company. Yang,38, was responsible for carrying passengers in the west line.

According to preliminary statistics, Yang has safely transported more than 30,000 passengers in the year he worked for the company.
