Lhasa's 1st wild-animal aid station to work in 2009

At the beginning of this year, an injured black-necked crane was sent to Administration for Wild-animal Protection of Lhasa. Howerer, the conditions here were so rough that it had to live with the staffs. Nevertheless, such things won't happen again.

According to our reporter, the first wild-animal aid station has been founded in Dechen Town, Dagze County of Lhasa. Injured wild-animals can receive better treatment here.

Related functionary of Lhasa Wild-animal Protection Administration said that, this aid station is part of National Black-Necked Crane Nature Reserve. Gross investment on this station is about 400 thousand yuan. Infrastructures are under construction. As a matter of fact, it will go into service early next year.

The functionary also said that, in this station, experts can treat injured wild-animals in time better than ever before. In recent years, more and more residents come to realize the importance of wild-animal protection. Thus the consultative-call into Lhasa Wild Animal Protection Administration about wildlives-salvation increased quickly.
