TIRANA, May 9 -- A series of activities are being held to mark the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Albania and China.

On Thursday, an animated Chinese movie called "the Extraordinary Voyage of Zheng He" had its premiere here. Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama,Albanian Deputy Culture Minister Zef Cuni, Chinese Ambassador to Albania Ye Hao and other guests attended the event.

The film, a three-dimensional realization with advanced audiovisual technology, is based on the story of Chinese voyager Zheng He, who started his journey around the world in 1405, 87 years earlier than Christopher Columbus.

The voyages he made were China's early exchanges with the outside world in such areas as diplomacy, trade and culture.
