China to promote friendly cooperation with Angola: FM spokesman

BEIJING, Sept. 3 (People's Daily Online) -- China will continue to work with Angola to promote friendly cooperation between the two countries, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said on Monday.

"China noticed Angola had a smooth election and is happy to see the peaceful and orderly situation," Hong said while commenting on China-Angola relations.

He noted that China and Angola have enjoyed sound development and achieved remarkable results in their cooperation since the two countries established diplomatic relations.

"China respects Angolan people's choice and will continue to work with Angola to promote friendly cooperation," he said.
