On Aug.28 China strengthened the protection for Japanese Embassy in Beijing.

On the afternoon of August 27, a car carrying Japan's ambassador to China, Uichiro Niwa, was targeted in Beijing by a man who ripped off the national flag on the car. The ambassador was not hurt in the incident. Relevant Chinese authorities are seriously investigating the incident.

The Chinese government always conscientiously fulfills the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations to protect the safety of foreign embassies and personnel, the Foreign Ministry of China said recently.
