African leaders arrived in Beijing to attend fifth FOCAC ministerial conference

BEIJING, July 18 (Xinhua) -- President of Benin Boni Yayi arrived in Beijing Wednesday afternoon, kicking off the start of his China trip. He will attend the fifth Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), which will be held July 19-20 in Beijing.

President of South Africa Jacob Zuma, President of Equatorial Guinea Teodoro Nguema Mbasogo, Djibouti's President Ismail Omar Guelleh, Niger's President Mahamadou Issoufou, President of Cote d'ivoire Alassane Dramane Ouattara, Prime Minister of Cape Verde Jose Maria Pereira Neves and Prime Minister of Kenya Raila Amollo Odinga arrived earlier in the Chinese capital.

Foreign ministers and ministers for foreign economic cooperation from China and 50 African countries, as well as African Union (AU) Commission Chairman Jean Ping, will attend the conference.
