Hu meets Merkel on ties, Eurozone debt crisis

Chinese President Hu Jintao met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel Monday morning in the Mexican resort of Los Cabos prior to the opening of the G20 summit in the afternoon.

Hu said he would like to discuss with Merkel bilateral ties and key issues that are of common concern. The two leaders are expected to discuss pressing world economic issues, including the Eurozone debt crisis.

Besides Merkel, Hu is also expected to meet French President Francois Hollande and US President Barack Obama Tuesday.
